Halloween Dog Treats

When everyone else is Trick or treating on Halloween why should your best friends be without treats? There are so many tasty options for dog's Halloween treat and of course you can also make your own pumpkin treats too!

Easy 3 Ingredient Pumpkin Dog Treats

There are just three simple ingredients needed for this dog treat. You probably even have most of these at home already!

• 1 cup of freshly cooked pumpkin or unsweetened canned pumpkin

• 2 cups whole wheat flour

• 1 egg

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F, and get the ingredients ready.

2. Use 1 cup of cooked and pureed pumpkin. If you choose to use canned pumpkin, be sure to get an unsweetened one without spices. Measure the pumpkin and add it to a mixing bowl.

3. Beat the egg and add mix it well to the pumpkin.

4. Add the flour to the mixture, stir.

5. Transfer the mixture onto a non-stick surface. Use a little flour on the non-stick surface and the rolling pin to prevent sticking.

6. Cut the dough into a grid of biscuits with pizza cutter or knife. Approximately ¾” square for a small dog or 1” square for medium and large dogs.

7. Bake for 30 minutes, or until golden brown.

Biscuits are bit hard, but dogs will love them! They are also healthy option without preservatives and color.
